Adventureland

Your journey here will transport you to exotic regions, where you'll enjoy the idyllic island paradise flavors of Adventureland. Get caught in the crossfire amidst a pirate battle, sing along to "In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room", cruise through the deepest, darkest jungles of Africa and explore the nether regions of the Swiss Family Treehouse. Shoppers will delight in the treasures to be found in shops found here such as: Elephant Tales, Bwana Bob's, Traders of Timbuktu, Island Supply, Tiki Tropics and the House of Treasure.

Pirates of the Caribbean:
Captain Jack's joined the crew! Get ready to set sail on this boisterous
journey to discover Captain Jack and his nemesis Barbossa interacting
with some of your favorite Audio-Animatronics® buccaneers and adding
a terrific twist to the classic adventure — along with new special effects.

While there is no preshow to entertain guests, the cool underground
caverns leading to the boats offer guests respite from the heat of the
day. The boat ride includes a short dark "drop" that may be a little
frightening to very small children (TIP: Parents may want to bring a small flashlight for the children to soothe them) Air cannons simulate cannonballs exploding around your boat. The ten minute cruise is fun for all ages and includes some of the best Audio-animatronics that Disney has to offer. The details found on these sorry scoundrels include realistic costuming, unique facial features and even hairy legs on the pirate swinging his leg atop the bridge and they are incredible.

Swiss Family Treehouse:
Fun and fancy with all the comforts of home, including running water!
This minor attraction is a self-guided walk-through tour of the treehouse
home of the Robinson family. It entails a lot of climbing and takes about
10 minutes to complete, dependent upon how long you stop to admire
the handiwork and details. This purely visual tour is pleasant and
innovative. You'll find patchwork quilts, hammocks, mahogany furniture,
shell water-basins and an absolutely amazing running water system.
The tree itself is quite a work of art. This extraordinary tree is a replica of
a banyan tree with concrete roots embedded 42 feet into the ground.

Jungle Cruise:
Those who can ad-lib are amongst the best. Audio-animatronic animals,
entertaining jungle scenes and the landscape artistry of Disney are
highlights of this attraction. While the cruise itself is only about 10 minutes,
the wait in line may be much longer than that. Winding queues are outdoors
under a canopy, but during the hot summer months, the heat can be stifling.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Fly over Agrabah on an enchanted flying carpet.
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a gentle flight with aladdin and fly the skies
over the Magic Kingdom's Adventureland. Sixteen four-passenger vehicles
surround a giant Genie lamp. The vehicles are controlled by the riders in the
front and back seats. The front seat controls the up & down motion, while
the back seat controls the pitch of the carpet from front to back.

Definitely not a thrill ride for the older set, it is still a thrill for the younger
children as is evident by the long lines for this popular attraction. Guests
in wheelchairs must be able to transfer from their chairs in order to ride.

Enchanted Tiki Room:
The first Disney attraction to use Audio-animatronics. The new and improved
show still shows respect for the old show while presenting an updated version
of this old favorite. With the addition of Aladdin's acid-tongued Iago and the
Lion King's sensible Zazu, Disney has updated many of the songs performed
by the Audio-animatronic birds, flowers and tiki gods. The show still features
the four popular hosts, Jose, Michael, Pierre and Fritz and their friendly banter
and puns. The show is just under 20 minutes in length and is wheelchair
accessible. For guests requiring assistance with hearing, assistive listening
devices to amplify the sound are available from Guest Services.
