Disney Magic® resembles a classic liner, with its sleek design and black hull trimmed in gold. The familiar mouse ears on the red stacks mark this ship as distinctly Disney, though. Passengers and their wait staff rotate among three dining rooms for each night of the cruise. Festive Parrot Cay boasts Caribbean flair, and Lumiere's offers an elegant setting. In the Animator's Palate, your surroundings start out in black and white, then gradually develop into full color during the course of the meal. Palo is the romantic alternative restaurant for adults only. There's an extensive children's program, with the ship boasting 15,000 square feet of dedicated kids' space. Special areas and activities just for adults range from wine tastings to pampering treatments at the Vista Spa & Salon to a separate adult pool. After-hours options along Beat Street (for grown-ups only) include a rock ' n' roll dance club, improv comedy club and a quiet piano lounge that's perfect for a nightcap.
Guests cruising aboard the Disney Cruise Line Disney Magic in 2006 can enjoy "dive-in" movies under the stars on a new, state-of-the-art jumbo (24-by-14-foot) LED screen on Deck 9 -- one of several additions and amenities added to the cruise ship during its dry dock. Other new features include an expanded Vista Spa, the spa is nearly doubled in size and features three specially designed indoor/outdoor treatment suites.
An additional youth activities area, a nautical-themed hangout just for kids provides a place to play computer and video games, arts and crafts or watch a movie on one of several plasma screens. The space features a kid-size replica of the ship's bridge, complete with LCD screen "windows" that give children a glimpse of the captain's view via a live video feed from the actual bridge. Kids can play a simulation game steering a ship in and out of ports around the world.
Deck Parties
Watch what happens when pool areas are transformed into stages where you can sing and dance under the sun or the stars. Theme nights on a Disney ship bring style, flavor and fun into your dream vacation. And don't miss the opportunity to meet favorite Disney Characters at these wonderful events!
Pirates in the Caribbean
Ahoy matey! Don your red bandana and celebrate your cruise pirate-style. The fun starts when your favorite Disney Characters, dressed in pirate garb, greet you in the atrium. Festivities continue through a pirate-themed dinner and a rowdy buccaneer bash where you dance all night with friends and foes on the top decks of the ship.
