Downtown Disney West Side: Is the largest of the three Downtown Disney areas, includes 344,000 square feet of buildings and a 9,500-square-foot area for events and entertainment. The other two areas of DownTown Disney are Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island the shops at The Downtown Disney® Marketplace
Strollers, ECV's & Wheelchairs:
DisneyQuest Emporium on the West Side. The cost $10 per unit. A $100 deposit charged to your credit card per unit rented. ECV rentals will remain at Marketplace Guest Relations. The $35 cost remains the same, with a $100 deposit charged to your credit card. You must return ECV, stroller or wheelchair to the original rental location to receive the deposit back. Limited availability at any location.
AMC 24 Theatres -- The AMC Theatre complex is the large Cinema at the end of the Downtown Disney West Side, which faces Pleasure Island. Inside the AMC has a total of Twenty-four screens, sixteen of which have stadium style seating, and shows first-run films all day. Two of the largest screens are reserved for new releases and first-run premiers, with three-story-tall screens and balcony seating.
Bongos Cuban Cafe -- Restaurant created by Emilio and Gloria Estefan. The 471 seat cafe serves lunch and dinner featuring the tastes of Cuba and the Miami Beach area of Florida set amid the best Latin American musical rhythms, and is generally open from 11:00 AM until 02:00 AM, and has an express window that operates during the same hours.
Candy Cauldron -- Themed as the Wicked Queen's dungeon from the Walt Disney animated film Snow White, the Candy Cauldron features more than 200 tempting sweets, including big chunks of fudge, caramel apples, hand-spun cotton candy, chocolate dipped fruits, truffles, candy-coated pretzels and boxed chocolates.
Celebrity Eyeworks Studio -- In the store, "stage hands" assist shoppers choose from brands such as Oakley, Revo, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Gucci, Harley Davidson and RayBan. Prices range from $49.99 for a pair of Guess sunglasses to $1,100 for a pair of sapphire-and-gold-studded Boucheron shades -- or "face jewelry" as Franzblau refers to these high-fashion styles.
Cirque du Soleil® Seating Plan -- Cirque du Soleil opened on 23rd Dec 1998, and as expected is quite a busy attraction, though not so busy that it's difficult to get late tickets. Created in 1984 by visionary and one-time street performer Guy Laliberté, Cirque du Soleil has gained unparalleled acclaim with astonishing, high-energy shows performed around the world. A stunning blend of circus art and street entertainment, Cirque du Soleil captivates with a dazzling array of outrageous costumes, magical lighting, and fantastically original acts and music. Seats 1,671, total area: 73,800 square feet. The Cirque du Soleil Store is located in the Lobby-Plaza level.
DisneyQuest -- The ultimate interactive adventure. A 100,000-square-foot family entertainment environment which includes The Wonderland Cafe for desserts and drinks, and FoodQuest for quick-service dining. The DisneyQuest Emporium is a themed shopping experience. Within the 5-story building you can Climb aboard a real river raft, grab a paddle, and shoot the rapids in a virtural prehistoric world. Buckle into a motion simulator and ride a roller coaster of your own design. Or even fly a magic carpet through the bazaars and alleyways in an ancient city. House of Blues -- The original House of Blues was established in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1992 by Isaac Tigrett, founder and CEO of HOB Entertainment, Inc. The Downtown Disney West Side location is a 57,000 square foot structure housing a 2,000-person concert hall and a 500-seat restaurant offering an array of foods from the Bayou. Live music seven days a week in both concert hall and restaurant featuring world-class and local artists from the worlds of blues, rock 'n' roll, R&B, hip hop, alternative, country, gospel, jazz and Brazilian rock. House of Blues concert venue utilizes the most technically-advanced light and sound system. House of Blues is modeled after an aid-time Mississippi jukejoint with distressed wood and rusted metal comprising the interior and exterior design.
Planet Hollywood -- Colorful three-floor-up-to-the-ceiling eatarena with famous movie memorabilia and a menu featuring favourite dishes of its owners, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, as well as other tempting celebrity favorites, all of which are served up alongside a mass of Hollywood memorabilia which lines every wall.
Sosa Family Cigars -- The Sosa family has been in the cigar-making business for more than 70 years. Exiled from Cuba in 1962, the family opened its first U.S. store in 1964 in Miami. Today the fifth generation of Sosas operate four stores in South Florida, and now have a location Orlando -- the first store to carry the Sosa name.
Starabilias -- Starabilias houses more than 1000 pieces of restored original memorabilia guaranteed authentic, as well as nostalgic gift and novelty items. Although merchandise is always changing as owners acquire new items from private collectors.
Virgin Megastore -- 55,000 sq ft of state-of-the-art music, video, interactive media and book showplace featuring the hottest tunes, the best movies and more. Take a look at great flicks in one of the 20 video/laser preview stations. Groove to your favorite artists or discover new bands in a gallery of over 300 CD listening stations.
Wolfgang Puck Cafe -- World-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck brings his artfully edible West Coast creations east to Florida in a colorful cafe designed by his wife and partner, Barbara Lazaroff. From his famous pizzas to the cutting edge of California cool cuisine, you'll find fabulous foods prepared perfectly to please the most discriminating palate.
Wolfgang Puck Cafe at the West Side -- A sprawling two-story, 18,000 square- foot structure, houses four distinct dining options: Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Wolfgang Puck Express, B's Bar and The Dining Room. Synonymous with smart, imaginative, full-flavored food, each segment embodies Wolfgang's "live, love, eat." philosophy, bringing to WDW his signature pasta dishes, famous wood-fired pizzas, farm fresh salads and other classic Puck entrees.
