To be a Member of Disney Vacation Club, you
purchase a real-estate interest in one of the
Disney Vacation Club Resorts. The Resort
where you purchase becomes your Home
Resort and is the key to unlocking the magic
of your Disney Vacation Club Membership.
The real-estate interest that you own at your
Home Resort is represented by an annual
allotment of Vacation Points. It is with these
Vacation Points that the magic begins.
Not only can you use your Vacation Points to stay at any Disney Vacation Club Resort, but you can also use them for exciting vacation experiences available through the Member Getaways program. You can choose from cruises, safaris, and other Disney Resorts, plus over 350 vacation destinations throughout the world.
You can customize the size of your ownership interest to completely meet your vacation needs, depending on the length of your stay, the time of year, the size of your accommodations, and the destination you choose.
What if you choose not to take a vacation at all? You can bank all of your unused Vacation Points from one year for a vacation the following year (some restrictions apply). Likewise, you can borrow your Vacation Points from next year to plan an extravagant, extended getaway now. What if your vacation needs change? You can always add to your membership by purchasing an additional real-estate interest in a Disney Vacation Club Resort if you find you need more vacation time.

Starting June 1, 2004 Disney Vacation Club members will be allowed to use the fitness center at any Disney Vacation Club resort, as long as they are staying at a Walt Disney World resort. A $12 fee will apply only if the DVC member visits a non-Disney Vacation Club resort's fitness center (e.g., Contemporary or Coronado Springs) and is not staying at that resort.
Using your points at other resorts:
The DVC is part of Interval International (a worldwide timeshare organization). Your DVC points can be traded for accommodations at many of the Interval Internationals resorts nationwide. You may also use your points to stay at other Disney resorts at Walt Disney World® Resort, Disneyland®, Disneyland® Paris as well as all of the DVC locations at Walt Disney World, Vero Beach, FL and Hilton Head, SC. A number of other vacation opportunities such as the Disney Cruise Line®, Adventure programs and a selection of other worldwide resorts are also available for point use.
You can pay cash for a dvc room from the Disney Vacation Club instead of using points - dvc members get a cash discount instead of paying the regular price. Contact DVC Member Services for the details at 800-800-9800 during business hours (they open at 9 am Eastern Time on weekdays).
