Epcot® Overview
It was Walt Disneys' Dream to have a self-contained city reside here,
unfortunately he passed away before it could be built. The Epcot®
that was built does not resemble the Epcot® that Walt Disney
invisioned. The Walt Disney Company built Epcot which incorporated
Walt's love for World's Fairs and the promise of the future!

Tomorrow.
On October 1, 1982, EPCOT® opened at Walt Disney
World® Resort, spanning several hundred acres.
EPCOT features two very different and distinct sections:
Where huge pavilions showcased the technology and promise of the future.
A collection of pavilions depicting various countries placed around a 40-acre "Showcase Lagoon." As we enter the new Millennium, Epcot® continues to carry on the traditions and dreams of its creators almost two decades later. Epcot® is a celebration of life and the human spirit, presented only the way Disney can do it.
The very best of dining from countries around the world.
In some ways, the forward thinking of Epcot® Future World and the diversity of cultures at World Showcase keep a part of Walt's dream alive. Disney in this case turned the idea of Epcot® into a fantastic theme park.
