Kali River Rapids
INTRODUCTION
At Kali River Rapids, you and 11 of your closest friends, are launched on rafts into the turbulent Chakranadi River for a wild, wet ride through a jungle jeopardized by illegal logging.
ATTRACTION
As you wind your way through a very long outdoor queue area, you can enjoy birds and artifacts brought to Animal Kingdom® Theme Park from Asia. The queue area is very well themed so pay close attention as you make your way to the rafts..
Mist and scents of jasmine greet you at the start of the ride. The raft heads upwards and then down a water fall.
TOURING TIPS
You will get wet! There is a *protective area* for you to place your belongings (it's not really good protection). This area gets very wet.
Wearing a poncho will help, but your feet will still be exposed! This is a GREAT way to cool off in the hotter months!
You must be 42 inches tall to ride the rapids.
Unless your child is frightened by fire, the ride is not considered scary.

The theme behind this attraction describes Disney's attempts to educate the public on conservation and preservation issues. The story of how the malicious destruction of a rainforest area by an outlaw logging company threatens the ecological balance of the area, is the premise behind this ride. Contrary to popular belief, Kali River Rapids was designed to be a fun, family adventure ride as opposed to a "thrill ride" type attraction.
