Disney World E-Brochure  NEW

Disney's Magic Kingdom® Park was built out of Walt Disney's
childhood fantasies, pixie dust and plenty of imagination. Its
storybook attractions are divided between seven intricately
themed "lands." and  attractions.

It is the first of the Walt Disney Word® Theme Parks . With fabulous
dining, shopping and entertainment. Once referred to by the company
as the "crowning jewel" of Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, the
Magic Kingdom® Park has remained the resort's most popular park since its opening date of October 1, 1971.  Based on Disneyland® Park which made its debut in July, 1955.

The "Disney Wish Lounge"
This very special lounge in the Magic Kingdom is for children who visit  the parks through companies like Make-a-Wish Foundation and Give Kids the World. Snuggled between the Magic Kingdom Baby Care Center and Casey's Corner, This is a great place for our special children and their families to enjoy light refreshments, receive vacation-planning help or to just relax without having to leave the park. The lounge is decorated with Aladdin's Genie, well known for granting wishes.

"Wishes"
Magical moments from cherished Disney films and dazzling pyrotechnic
effects to create "Wishes," the biggest, boldest fireworks show ever
presented for Magic Kingdom guests at Walt Disney World Resort.
Narrated by Jiminy Cricket, who memorably served as Pinocchio's
conscience in Disney's animated masterpiece, the new story-in-the-sky
spectacular tells a thrilling, heart-tugging story about making a wish come
true. "I bet a lot of you folks don't believe that -- about a wish coming true,
do ya?" Jiminy says as the 12-minute spectacle begins. "Well, I didn't
either. Of course, I'm just a cricket, but let me tell ya what changed my
mind. Ya see, the most fantastic, magical things can happen -- and it all
starts with a wish!"

Main Street U.S.A.:
Guests entering the Magic Kingdom® Park emerge from the tunnel under the Walt Disney World® Railroad, and into the turn of the century American Main Street U.S.A. You'll first enter the Town Square complete with a City Hall.

The Adventureland
Divided into two main sub-areas, one being the Arabian Village and the other one being Caribbean Plaza, which is home to Pirates of the Caribbean. Other attractions that distinguish it from the others are the Magic Carpets of Aladdin spinner ride and the Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management), which now features Iago (from Disney's Aladdin) and Zazu (from The Lion King) as additional hosts. The transition between the cartoon-Arabia and Caribbean occurs seamlessly.

Fantasyland:
Home of Cinderella's Castle. Is the place of fairy tales where dreams come true. It is home to some of Disney's favorite animated characters, Dumbo, Snow Whites Scary Adventures, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, the Lion King and Ariel as well as the timeless It's a Small World.

Liberty Square:
Over the bridge from the Cinderella Castle is a taste of American history. As you enter Liberty Square, you'll hear the whoops and hollers emanating from the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue, the blast of the horn of the Liberty Belle Riverboat, the wolf howls from the Haunted Mansion and see the colonial fashions of the Cast Members. The Hall of Presidents, the Liberty Tree and a replica of the Liberty Bell lend a historical flavor to Liberty Square.

Frontierland:
As you cross the bridge into the first land to the left off of Main Street USA, your senses are deluged by the pounding of African drums, the tinny delights of the Caribbean rhythms and the lush landscaping of the South Seas, Caribbean, and Africa. Follow the strums of the banjo music and the smell of the smoked turkey legs and it will lead you to the old-time wild west of Frontierland. The crash of the cascading water of Splash Mountain (plummet 52 feet at a 45-degree angle going up to 40 miles per hour) and the screams of the guests in the runaway trains of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ("the wildest ride in the wilderness") will entice you to see more of America's pioneer homeland. Cross the Rivers of America to explore Tom Sawyer's Island or relax in the air-conditioned theatre to see the old-fashioned hoe-down fun of the Country Bear Jamboree.

Tomorrowland:
In 1994, Disney began renovations to update Tomorrowland to resemble a look at the future as it was seen by the sci-fi writers of the 1920's and 1930's. The newly renovated Tomorrowland opened in 1995 and was billed as the "Future that Never Was".

Monsters, Inc. the Laugh Floor Comedy Club
Help Mike Wazowski, your "Monster of Ceremonies," and his wild and crazy
pals power the city of Monstropolis — with laughter! Mike and his buddies
have transformed the Laugh Floor at Monsters, Inc. into a comedy club for
visiting humans. You won't have the exact same experience twice as Mike
invites his furry and funny friends to the digital stage to trade jokes with
audience members like you. And don't miss the wise-cracking Roz, who
isn't sure Mike is up to the task!

Micky's Toontown Fair   Photos

This is the smallest of the seven lands in the Magic Kingdom® Park and is basically a large character greeting area. This brightly colored land consists of walk through tours of Mickey's and Minnie's residences, a play area in Donald's Boat and one ride, Goofy's Barnstormer.
