One of the most entertaining pre-show areas at
Walt Disney World® Theme Parks is found at
the Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3-D ©
attraction. Overhead monitors show a 12 minute
presentation starring Scooter, Gonzo and Sam
Eagle, to set up the main feature. But it is the
props found around the pre-show area that are
so much fun. The 3D presentation uses film,
amusing sound effects, Audio-animatronics,
amazing pyrotechnics and other very special
effects to upgrade this attraction to 4D! The 13
minute show begins with a tour of the Muppets
lab. If you look closely, you can see 3D glasses
on some of the props in the lab.
Note: Watch the children in the theatre grab at the 3D effects.
The production comes from "Muppet Labs" presided over by Dr. Honeydew and his suffering assistant Beaker and introduces a new character, Waldo, the spirit of 3-D. Sam Eagles grande finale leads to trouble as a war breaks out, culminating with a cannon blast to the screen from the rear balcony, from everyones favorite the Swedish Chef.
Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3-D © 2001 . appeals to all age groups and is a major attraction. Long lines are not uncommon but once the doors open to the large theatre, the lines diminish quickly.
This attraction is wheelchair accessible. For guests who are hearing impaired, assistive listening devices are available, check with Guest Services for details. Reflective Captioning is offered to deaf guests, check with a Cast Member at the entrance for assistance.
