DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme ParkTM
By: Chris Schuck
The excitement begins at DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme ParkTM as you walk through the doors. You are in a nice sized room and the air conditioning feels great on a hot day. You walk up to the castmember and give them your ticket. They board you on one of two elevators. Let me tell you this elevator ride to the second floor is fun. I won't tell you about it but that is something you have
to experience.
When you get off the elevator you are in Venture Port. There are four different areas in DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme ParkTM. They are the Create Zone, Replay Zone, Score Zone, and the Explore Zone. Choose where you want to go and walk through the hall.
First off the Create Zone. In the Create Zone you can make your own CD in Radio Disney's Song Maker. You design your original song from start to finish inside a sound booth. When you are finished you can go purchase your CD. Finally in the Create Zone there is Sid's create a toy. Rummage through the bedrooms of Sid and his sister Hannah to assemble your very own toy creation. You can then purchase the actual toy you designed and take it home.
Next up is Cyber Space Mountain. Here you will design a roller coaster and ride it when you are done. You get to choose your environments, speed, and tracks.
Next up is the Animation Academy. You will be taught how to draw a Disney Character. Digital sketchpads are what you draw on. When you are done you get a diploma and are able to take your masterpiece home.
Next up we have the Magic Mirrors. At the Magic Mirrors you take your picture and then you get to distort it. Make it long and fat. Or short and skinny. It is all up to you at the Magic Mirrors.
Let's go to the Replay Zone next. Here you can ride on Buzz Lightyears Astro Blaster. Be a driver or a gunner in a two-seat, bumper car, when you hit another bumper car with an asteroid (Playground size balls) that car will spin out of control for a few seconds. This ride is real fun. Also in the replay zone there is Disney Games like Goofy Demolition and Whack A' Alien at Midway on the Moon. There are nice prizes to win here with your tickets.
Now that we are done in the Replay Zone lets stop by the Score Zone. First in the Score Zone is Invasion An ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. On this ride you will rescue stranded colonists. In this ride there is one Driver and 3 gunners. You will not survive this game unless you work as a TEAM. Become human pinball in Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam. In this game you become the pinball. Hop aboard a life-size hover disk joystick and have fun. Finally in the Replay Zone are riding the Comix. On this game you will battle super villains as you ride through a 3-D comic book.
Next up on our agenda is the Explore Zone. On Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold you go out searching for gold. Try not to get hit by one of the evil Pirates or you loose your gold. You are in a boat on this ride. There is one driver. The driver has to drive over the gold boxes to get the gold. There are 5 canons on the boat. The cannon shooters have to shoot cannon balls at the ships around them trying to get the gold. This is also a 3-D ride.
Next up is the Virtual Jungle Cruise. Board a real raft and go on a white water rapid adventure through prehistoric times. You even get a little wet on the ride. Which makes it feel even more real. Finally in the Explore Zone is Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride. Fly through the streets of Agrabah your goal on this ride is to find precious jewels and release the genie. This is a virtual reality ride. You really feel like you are flying.
There is more to DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme ParkTM then the attraction there is also a place to eat. Not just one but three places. Stop by Food quest for some quick gourmet food. Head over to the Cheesecake Factory Express for a whole bunch of delicious snacks, deserts, salads, sandwiches, and pizza. When you are done their stop by the Wonderland Cafe. Sit down, relax, enjoy some wonderful desserts and log on to the internet while you enjoy your food.
Well that is our trip to DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme ParkTM. As you leave if you are not done yet, get your hand stamped so you can return that same day. When you leave you will exit through the DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme ParkTM gift shop. There are tons of neat things in here.
Make sure when you go to DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme ParkTM you don't go during the hottest time of the day or when it is raining. If you do it is extremely busy in there. I recommend when going to DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme ParkTM to set aside 3 hours for it. If you want to take in everything.
