Star Tours© Disney/Lucasfilm, Inc.
Based on the Star Wars series, producer George Lucas collaborated with Disney on this project. In peak season, the queues can stretch out into the outdoor area that is a replica of an Ewok village on the moon of Endor. Upon entering the building, guests ascend the ramps and continue through the preshow that shows C-3PO and R2D2 and their droid friends as they service a fleet of spacecraft.
The actual ride uses flight simulator technology, combined with action film footage as you ride a 40 passenger StarSpeeder to the Moon of Endor. Your "pilot-in-training", RX-24 takes you on a wild 10 minute ride where you encounter one mishap after another.
Note: Because of the jolting in this ride, it is not for expectant mothers or people with back or neck problems.
There is a height restriction of 40" and children under the age of 7 are not admitted without an adult. Children under three are not allowed to ride. FASTPASS Ride
Parents can choose the "child swap" option here.
Child Swap
The "child swap" is really an adult swap: Parent A rides with older kids, while Parent B stays with the baby or under-height child(ren); then Parent B gets to ride, while Parent A stays with the non-riders. The cast members will take Parent B to the front of the line. Saves standing in long lines, twice.
This is a major attraction and long lines are the norm.
Guests using ECVs must be able to transfer to a wheelchair.
