Purple, Orange and Yellow buses To the Settlement and Outpost depots from the bus stops at the campsites and cabins Disney's Fort Wilderness marina, take the green boat launch to reach the Magic Kingdom® Park; take the blue boat launch to arrive at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Contemporary Resort Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge To Downtown Disney® Area/Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa begin making their rounds at 9 AM.
The Disney's Wilderness Lodge is built to resemble the lodges found in our National Parks. It is very rustic and surrounded by pine trees. Inside the lobby you will find support posts carved into totem poles, a stone fireplace, Northwest Indian artifacts, The resort opened in May of 1994 and has 784 rooms.
Accommodations:
In a typical room are 2 queen beds or 1 queen bed with a set of bunk beds. Junior suites are available. They have 2 queen beds in the bedroom, a sleep sofa in the living area. They also have a couple other suite configurations, some with king beds and jacuzzi tubs.
Privacy for the 784 campsites throughout the 20 loops, is provided by the lush wilderness. The sites are approximately 25' wide and range from 25' to 65' in length. They are a combination of paved driveway and sandy pad. All sites have running water, electricity, charcoal grills and picnic tables. There are full hook-up sites that provide sanitary disposal.
TIP: Preferred hook-up sites are located near the Settlement Trading Post, Pioneer Hall and the marina, and offer cable TV hook-up. These sites may cost a little more and are found in loops 11 through 500 and 700. To be near the Meadow Trading Post, campfire program and main pool, request loops 600, or 800 through 1600.
Pool:
Silver Creek Springs pool has a river that runs from the Disney's Wilderness Lodge over rocks and waterfalls into the swimming area. There are 2 hotspots, waterslide, and a kiddie pool.
TIP: For a location close to the main pool, request a cabin in loops 2500 or 2700.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge Merchantile:
Here you can find character merchandise, film, film processing, and more. They also carry a mix of Northwestern merchandise typical of Jackson Hole, Yellowstone National Park, and Northwest Indian culture.
Roaring Forks Arcade:
Offering 25 video and arcade style games for the whole family.
Roaring Forks Snack Bar:
They offer a variety of snacks, sandwiches, and pizza.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Dinner Show:
At Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds, hilarious hoedown-style comedy and an all-you-can-eat country dinner. Limited availability at three nightlyseatings: 5 :00 , 7:15 and 9:30 pm.
Whispering Canyon Cafe:
Offering American style cuisine. This is a fun, family style restaurant. You can race your friends on stick ponies or do the Hokey Pokey. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner either all-you-can-eat or ala carte. Breakfast is served 7:30am till 11am, lunch is served from Noon till 3pm, dinner is served from 5pm till 10pm.
Artist Point:
This is an up-scale restaurant featuring Northwest cuisine with seafood, steaks, and vegetarian entrees. Dinner is served ala carte.
Teton Boat & Bike Rental:
Located near Silver Creek Springs pool. Here you can rent bikes from 9am to 6pm, either by the day or by the hour. They also offer watercraft such as canopy boats, pontoon boats, or water mouse (mice?) from 10am to 6pm.
Cub's Den:
Offering evening childcare for ages 4 to 12, children must be potty trained. This is a Northwestern theme club featuring arts & crafts, video games, toys, and Disney movies. It is open to all WDW resort guests. The cost is $5 per hour, per child. You can also purchase dinner for an additional $8 per child. You can reserve space for your child 30 days in advance by calling 407 WDW-DINE.
